The Andover Community Centre

The Andover Community Centre, also known as the Finsbury Park Hub runs a service called the Surplus Food Project which is now offering take-away bags of food. They will receive some of Islington Foodbank’s stock after we close on Monday. It is a drop-in service based at Andover Community Centre, Andover Estate, Corker Walk, N7 7RY. The Islington branch of SVP are a befriending charity and offer a home delivery service for food parcels, picking up prescriptions and dog walking. They are also now operating a food bank on Saturdays between 1pm and 2pm at St Joan of Arc Church, 60 Highbury Park, N5 2XH. They will receive our food donations from supermarkets collection bins until we reopen. You can contact them on 07516 690197.

Anyone who gets in touch with us while we are closed who is in need of help will be directed to these charities. In addition, our voucher partners who refer clients to us have also been made aware of these alternatives to direct people too. Islington Foodbank are running a campaign called “We are Islington” to help residents during this period. If you need help, you can contact them on their dedicated helpline, 0207 527 8222.
