House on the Rock is a charismatic evangelical Church, which has its London base in Tufnell Park, Islington.

Each year the House on the Rock (HOTR) churches organise a 21-day fasting period, dubbed PUSH (Prayer Until Something Happens), culminating with a service on Easter Sunday.

This year the London House on the Rock decided to hold an ‘Operation PUSH and Share’ based on the idea in Isaiah 58 of organising a ‘godly fast to share your bread with the hungry’.

HOTR invited the congregation to contribute the equivalent of the food that they would have eaten if they were not fasting. They set a target of raising 1000 kgs of food in 21 days.

A list of durable foods was distributed, and members of the congregation brought in food before the services. At the end of 21 days, this had raised an incredible 1611kg of food, well over the target.

HOTR is thrilled to have exceeded its PUSH target and given the food to those who need it in the community, as well as organising a ‘chosen godly fast’.
