Final summer supermarket drive is a hit

This summer’s final supermarket drive at Waitrose Holloway Road was a roaring success, collecting 829.7kg of food for the foodbank. Volunteers were on the floor from 10am until 3pm greeting customers doing their Saturday shop and asking if they wanted to donate to the foodbank while they were in the supermarket. The latest supermarket drive took place on Saturday 18th June at Waitrose Holloway Road. Volunteers managed to collect 742.1kg of food, sadly not surpassing the impressive May drive, but this may have been hampered by the fact there was an Arsenal home match the same day, meaning the area was busier than usual.
